EAP

WHAT IS EAP?

EAPs provide employees with access to free, short-term, solution-focused counselling to manage work-related or personal issues that may be affecting their wellbeing. Although these services are accessed through your workplace, the service is independent, completely confidential and the issue being discussed with your EAP provider doesn’t have to originate from work.

IT'S HEALTHY TO ACCESS SUPPORTS

Whether it’s seeking professional support or chatting to a confidant, most of us still find discussing physical health easier than mental health. We often wouldn’t think twice about seeing a doctor for an infection, yet the idea of seeing a professional when we notice a decline in mental health can be something we avoid at all costs.

WELLBEING IN THE WORKPLACE

Key barriers to engaging supports are often the perceived stigma surrounding mental health, difficulty accessing services, or a lack of understanding of the benefits of taking a proactive approach to mental health. Workplaces have a crucial role in challenging these perceptions by providing essential wellbeing supports such as Employee Assistance Programs (EAP).

ACCESSING EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS

The Enable Workplace Team provides independent and confidential support, delivered by a range of experienced professionals including psychologists, social workers, counsellors, and specialist consultants. We take a proactive approach to mental health and wellbeing where any topic is considered relevant and important to your psychological wellbeing.
